Quick Answer

Enter Rotting Cavern through Verdant Hollow or the cave near Obmuer Temple's pirate shipwreck, then continue toward the lens. Follow the underground ruins through the water cavern and rocky ledges toward a green glowing item. You can also obtain the second Jigeki Key piece by killing the large fish drawn out by rotten water.

How do you reach Rotting Cavern and cross the water cave?

You can enter through Verdant Hollow or the cave near the pirate raiders' shipwreck at Obmuer Temple. If you are approaching from the hollow, use the Verdant Hollow walkthrough for that area's progression. The route below follows the ruined stone structure approach.

Enter the cave by the ruins

Head toward the ruined stone structure and enter its cave. Follow the passage until you reach the opening at its end. Turn right immediately and enter the dark opening.

Reach the Rotting Cavern teleport

Continue forward until you reach the Rotting Cavern teleport, roughly halfway along this route. Clear enemies gradually as you open the way forward. An enemy or hazard can hit you during a dash and remove all your dash charges.

Find the passage near the pillars

Look for a narrow passage beside the pillars. Continue through that passage and the underground ruins until you reach a large, open cavern containing water.

Continue through the water cavern

The path splits left and right inside the water cavern. The exact turn at this fork is still being added. The next known landmark is a floating, statue-like head with a diamond beneath it. Use the Queen's Domain map guide alongside these landmarks if you need help orienting yourself.

Cross the rocky ledges

Continue across the rocky ledges and cliffs beyond the floating head. Look for the green glowing item farther along the route and collect the lens. Its exact name is currently unknown.

Enemies and corrupted water can inflict Magic Rot. Avoid prolonged exposure while exploring the underground chambers. Before entering, check how to save in Queen's Domain if you need help preserving your progress.

What can you get inside Rotting Cavern?

You can obtain the second Jigeki Key piece and reach a green glowing lens along the route.

ItemHow you get it
Second Jigeki Key pieceRun across the rotten water to draw out a large fish, then kill it.
Green glowing lensContinue beyond the water cavern and rocky ledges to the glowing item.

The Jigeki Key pieces are used to obtain Jigeki's Lens. Do not assume the unnamed green lens is Jigeki's Lens; its identity is still being added.

What should you check at the seal statue?

Look for a seated statue with a circular opening in front of its body in the ruined underground chambers. You reach this area through corrupted-water passages. If you cannot see its magic, check your Mask of Second Sight and lens collection.

The lens requirements currently have differing descriptions. One description connects this underground section to Jigeki's Lens progression. Another says Sipeha's Lens reveals Sipeha magic, while another says Jigeki's Lens is necessary to remove any seals. The exact relationship between these requirements is still being added.

Where do you go after Rotting Cavern?

Continue through the cavern to return to Verdant Hollow and obtain the next lens for the next large door. After collecting the green glowing lens, you can begin looking for the remaining seals. Use the Queen's Domain walkthrough to place this return trip within your wider progression.
