How do you beat Dagoom the Sea King?
Use air dash to escape his water hazards while dealing damage with Azure Torch and throwing weapons.
Stock up before entering
Bring healing items and a stockpile of throwing weapons. Carry panacea so you can cleanse poison during the fight.
Apply Azure Torch damage
Hit Dagoom with Azure Torch whenever possible to apply ongoing damage. Use your throwing weapons alongside it.
Air dash away from water hazards
Dagoom creates a current and spreads poison through the water. Use your air dash to get away from both. If you become poisoned, use panacea to cleanse it.
Cut down the small fish
Use slash attacks against his small fish companions. They fall quickly to those attacks, letting you return to fighting Dagoom.

Version 1.01.02 fixed his death while spinning bug. Version 1.01.03 then fixed a death animation bug, so the earlier patch did not cover every death issue.
The stuck death animation is a bug, not another combat phase. A workaround for older versions is currently unknown.
