Quick Answer
You can get five Trident Keys: two inside Obmuer Temple, one from leveling the Trident, one from a shop and one from a boss on the Petrified Garden island. Use them at the temple's Trident Key holes for extra loot. These are the currently known key locations; this list will grow as more details become available.
Which keys can you find, and what do they open?
You can find two Trident Keys inside Obmuer Temple. The other three need a weapon, later shop access and a late-game boss.
| Key | Where you get it | What it opens |
|---|---|---|
| Trident Key — first temple pickup | Water near the entrance, after dropping down | Used on the route toward the second save point; also belongs to the temple's Trident Key system |
| Trident Key — second temple pickup | The high skeleton ambush area, through the wall opening below the second save point | Extra loot behind Trident Key holes near the third save point |
| Trident Key — broken weapon piece | Raise the Trident found outside the temple to its maximum level | Extra loot behind the temple's Trident Key holes |
| Trident Key — shop purchase | Buy it after defeating the Tower of Knowledge boss | Extra loot behind the temple's Trident Key holes |
| Onyx Trident Key | Kill the boss on the Petrified Garden island | Used with the other keys at the Petrified Garden ritual |
Only two Trident Keys are pickups inside the temple itself, so don't keep searching that dungeon for the rest. Players report keyholes behind a hidden wall by the first dungeon entrance and at the Petrified Garden too.
Other key names, locations, and matching doors are still being added. This is not yet a complete list of every key.
Where are the two keys inside Obmuer Temple?
You find the first key in water near the entrance and the second above a skeleton ambush area.
Search the water after dropping down
After entering Obmuer Temple and dropping down, search the watery area near the entrance for the first Trident Key. Use it, then continue toward the second save point.
Enter the opening below the second save point
From the second save point, look down into the large pit for a hole in the wall. Wind Dash into that opening. The second Trident Key is higher up, where a couple of skeletons ambush you.
You can also find the third Wind Gem in this area, giving you three air dashes. Those dashes let you cross the large pit near the save point. See the Wind Gems guide if that crossing is your immediate obstacle.
How do you get the other three keys?
You get one key by leveling the Trident to maximum, another by shopping after the Tower of Knowledge boss and the onyx key from the Petrified Garden boss.
The Trident comes from outside Obmuer Temple. Raise it to its maximum level, and a piece breaks off to become another key. Follow the Trident weapon guide for the weapon's location and leveling steps.
Version 1.01.01 fixed a freeze when weapons evolve. If your game freezes during this process, check whether you are running an older version.
The fourth Trident Key becomes available from the shop after you defeat the boss in the next dungeon. Follow the Tower of Knowledge walkthrough to reach that fight.
Do you need every Trident Key to continue?
You do not need every Trident Key for the main route, but players report the Eat ending ritual needs all five.
That room has several Trident Key holes. You can return with more keys later instead of stopping your route to collect them all.
The first temple key has an earlier use on your route toward the second save point. The optional loot advice concerns collecting the keys for the room at the third save point.
Continue with the Queen's Domain main walkthrough when you are ready to leave the optional key hunt.
